The Lenovo Media-Savvy IdeaPad Y560
When you mention Lenovo, you usually think of business-minded laptops. The ThinkPad and IdeaPad lines have been staples of the business traveler – simple, black, and sort of boring, but priced right, very easy to work on and very reliable. But Lenovo have now gone and introduced a laptop for media-minded consumers! Even for gamers some would say. Surely can’t be worth looking at is it? It is! Read on…
The Lenovo IdeaPad Y560, a product that might just get general consumers, and even gamers, to reconsider the brand. It has a slicker industrial design, with red accents and a textured lid, but it’s what’s inside that really has us gasping. The entry-level model features a Core i3 330M Processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory, and a quite capable Radeon Mobility HD 5730 discrete graphics chip with 1GB of video RAM. Not bad if it’s under R9,000.00 you say? Actually it is going for only R8,617.17 incl Vat. More you ask for? The top of the range jumps to an impressive Core I7-720QM and has a bigger 500GB hard drive. All this and running with a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Operating System, then you must be willing to spend the R10,463.97 incl Vat.
So are you thinking Lenovo again? Does the IdeaPad shake the image-tree ridden tree for Lenovo? It does for us.
